What this screen is for

Figure 1 — What this screen is for.

The "Counseling walk" panel on the case page tracks whether a person has been invited into counseling or coaching, and where that walk stands. It never shows what was actually said in a session — only that the walk is happening.

What you see, in the screen's own labels

Screenshot of the counseling arm screen at /dashboard/case/GB-1002, illustrating “What you see, in the screen's own labels”, with numbered callouts: 1. Sobriety / recovery coaching; 2. Demonstration roster — all counselors shown are fictional. Real, credentialed counselors join at launch..
Figure 2 — What you see, in the screen's own labels.

The panel's text changes with the stage of the walk:

  • A possible lane, non-substance-use: "The engine sees a possible lane: {label}. It is a suggestion only — if it rings true, offer it in person, in your own words. There is no script; you know this person." with a button, "I carried this invitation in person."
  • A possible lane, substance-use: "The engine sees a possible lane: {label}. GraceBridge doesn't invite or book this one directly — it's a directory referral, not an active one (42 CFR Part 2). Here are programs near you — you contact them." No button appears in this branch — see "What NOT to do" below.
  • Invited: "Invitation carried — {label}. Their portal now offers the roster and times. The choice is theirs; nothing more to do here."
  • Accepted / choosing: "{Name} said yes — choosing a counselor and a time now."
  • Booked: "{Name} has a session set with {counselor} — {time}." with a button, "The session happened."
  • Missed: "Missed session with {counselor}." — plus one of three follow-on lines depending on whether an automated gentle rebook touch already went out, is queued, or has gone quiet. The last case reads: "The gentle rebook touch went quiet — this one is yours now: reach out personally."
  • Walking: "Walking — {n} session(s) so far{, with counselor}."

A standing line always appears underneath: "Demonstration roster — all counselors shown are fictional. Real, credentialed counselors join at launch."

What to do

Screenshot of the counseling arm screen at /dashboard/case/GB-1004, illustrating “What to do”, with numbered callouts: 1. Invitation recorded — their portal now opens the door.
Figure 3 — What to do.
  • Carry an invitation in person, in your own words, when it rings true. The engine only ever suggests; a human decides whether and how to offer it. Click "I carried this invitation in person" to record that you did — this opens the roster and times on the person's own portal.
  • Mark a session happened once it took place, so the walk's stage stays accurate.

What NOT to do

Screenshot of the counseling arm screen at /dashboard/case/GB-1002, illustrating “What NOT to do”, with numbered callouts: 1. DON'T — GraceBridge doesn’t invite or book this one directly — it’s a directory referral, not an active one (42 CFR Part 2).; 2. DON'T — Sealed by rule: what is said with the counselor never enters this dashboard. You can see that the walk is happening — never what is said inside it..
Figure 4 — What NOT to do.
  • Never invite or book a substance-use / sobriety-recovery lane directly through GraceBridge. This is a hard rule enforced in the software, not a style preference: for a case the engine has flagged as substance-use, the invite and book actions are refused outright (409 error), because GraceBridge is a directory for that kind of need, not an active referral service (42 CFR Part 2). Point the person to the program directly; they contact it themselves.
  • Never treat the panel as a transcript. What's said with a counselor is sealed both ways: "Sealed by rule: what is said with the counselor never enters this dashboard. You can see that the walk is happening — never what is said inside it."
  • Don't try to carry counseling actions on a case in active crisis. If a person is being walked through a crisis directly right now, all counseling actions are refused with: "A person is walking this case directly right now."

What a person sees on their own portal

Screenshot of the counseling arm screen at /portal, illustrating “What a person sees on their own portal”, with numbered callouts: 1. An invitation: Financial coaching; 2. What you share with your counselor stays with your counselor — sealed. GraceBridge only ever knows that the walk is happening..
Figure 5 — What a person sees on their own portal.

Only after a human has carried an invitation to them in person does anything about counseling appear on their own page — never as an automated surprise. If they'd rather not: "If not, simply leave this be; nothing changes about your case." If they miss a booked session, the page doesn't scold them: "We missed you — no trouble at all. Life happens — your seat stays open. Pick a new time below whenever you're ready."

The public Coaching, Counseling & Recovery arm page

Screenshot of the counseling arm screen at /arms/coaching-counseling, illustrating “The public Coaching, Counseling & Recovery arm page”, with numbered callouts: 1. This door is being built; 2. Coaching as desired, therapy as needed — and someone who stays either way.; 3. We watch over the shepherd too..

/arms/coaching-counseling — the public preview of this door, honestly labeled "This door is being built." Promise line: "Coaching as desired, therapy as needed — and someone who stays either way." Its sobriety/recovery-coaching service line is listed with the note: "We watch over the shepherd too."

When something goes wrong

Screenshot of the counseling arm screen at /dashboard/case/GB-1002, illustrating “When something goes wrong”, with numbered callouts: 1. Crisis today; 2. GraceBridge doesn’t invite or book this one directly — it’s a directory referral, not an active one (42 CFR Part 2)..
Figure 7 — When something goes wrong.
  • Trying to invite/book on a substance-use case: "GraceBridge is a directory for substance-use needs, not an active referral — sobriety/recovery coaching can't be invited or booked here. Point them to a program directly; they contact it." (42 CFR Part 2)
  • Trying any counseling action on an active-crisis case: "A person is walking this case directly right now."
  • Carrying an invitation, on success: "Invitation recorded — their portal now opens the door."
  • Marking a session happened, on success: "Session recorded — sealed."
